Covid sees demand for Maha ration grains surge

As incomes plummeted during the lockdown, the demand for subsidised ration grains shot up. At the peak of the lockdown in April, the state added 15.5 lakh ration cards, accounting for the addition of over 66 lakh beneficiaries to its regular ration scheme.
