A jewellery shop in Vile Parle (east) was broken into on September 17. Unidentified thieves decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 26.7 lakh. Neighbouring shops noticed the jewellery shop’s door ajar and locks broken around 6.30am and called the jeweller, Rameshkumar Soni(62).
