Desi companies also hit by defence canteens’ ban on imports

Not only foreign biggies, but several indigenous companies too, including Dabur, VIP, Milton and Bajaj Electricals, have found themselves in the firing line, as the government-controlled Canteen Stores Department has decided to ban 422 directly imported items from military canteens in an effort to support PM’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ that has been launched to promote domestic manufacturing.
