‘Conscious possession’ not proved, HC upholds acquittal

The HC bench of Justices Sadhana Jadhav and Prithviraj Chavan said recently in an NCB case that “confessional statement” is “essentially a weak piece of evidence which does not have any corroboration”, particularly when no proof of ‘conscious possession’ is shown.
