Maha govt begins process to declare Param Bir ‘absconder’

The Maharashtra government has begun the process of declaring former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh an absconder, home department sources said. The government has sought legal opinion on this and also informed the Intelligence Bureau that it has not been able to trace him. “The government is building a case in order to declare Singh an absconder,” sources said.
